Quick update-It’s Sale Time!

cropped-etsybanner2016.jpg

Just a quick update, folks. I’ll have more in depth updates in the coming days and weeks. It’s been an interesting year for me. 😀

Anyway, from now till the end of the year, if you use the code LETSDOTHIS, you’ll get 15% off your order in my Etsy shop! So, please, check things out!

Also, if you’re in or around Northeastern Indiana, you can stop in at a little shop in Angola’s historic downtown called Sassafras & Sage. They’re the only physical location in the world where you can find Bramblefae jewelry! (And trees, and some of the wood refurbished/upcycled things I do, since I don’t put those on Etsy because shipping would be kind of a nightmare. 😀 )

Stay tuned, though, I’ll be back to regular updates very soon, folks! Thank you for sticking around, and if you love what I do, and are able/willing, I have a little button up on the right of this post that says “buy me a coffee”- I’m trying to get money saved for some better tools, and that’s a great way to help support me and what I do! ❤

What I did this summer (and what I’ll be doing this fall, maybe)

5-Idyllic-August-Getaways-2cf3e3be97924bd891c84eb5389e065f

Hi folks! Now that summer is mostly over, I thought it would be a good time for a bit of an update.

After the faire (And the realization that this was the last one), I’ve kind of found myself with a bit of a lack of creative gumption.

It’s getting better now, but this summer’s been one of me poking at things with sticks (metaphorically speaking) and seeing what’s up.  The cool part about all of this bellybutton contemplation is that I have some cool things coming into the Etsy shop, and a potential side gig (which you might hear more about as I get everything organized),  the less cool part is that the updates may continue to be kind of sporadic for a bit.

My schedule is pretty up in the air right now, and I have several things going on (Some of which you’ll see here.) that need my attenion, so while I am ABSOLUTELY open for commissions and custom work, I’m going to probably be slow on getting things uploaded to Etsy.

Also, for the first time in several years, I won’t be setting up at any autumn events this year, sadly. I’ve got family wedding things going on for each of those weekends.

So, with the free time I’ll have since I won’t be needing to restock so soon, I’m planning to branch Bramblefae out a little. In addition to all the wire work I do, I’m going to be adding some polymer clay work, and maybe some paper and/or planner related things. (Since I am IN LOVE with my Happy Planner!)

All in all, everything is good here, if a bit frazzled, and I am still constantly working on new things, just, be patient with me, I’ll update as I can. 🙂  In the meantime, follow me on twitter and instagram (both are accessible from the right side of this post. 🙂 )!

(And did I mention that I would love some commissions and some custom work? *grin*)

Wire Trees and my own impatience

Hi folks! I took a poll on Twitter last week asking how ya’ll thought about the idea of setting up pre-orders for these little wire trees I’ve been making. The response was pretty positive, so I went about making a listing, but then I was all, “Why wait? The only holdup at all is potentially wire, but that’s in the wait time, anyway.”

So, the listing is up!

A couple things- None of these have beads or gemstones on them.  I’m working on a way to do that, that works for me.  So, look for those possibly soon (And I kinda mean that in video game terms. *grin*).  Also, they are kinda small-the little ones are around 2-3 inches high, the bigger ones around 5 inches high.

Anyway, here’s a look at some of the ones I have made up for the Art is Art Festival this weekend.

If you’re local, come on out to Angola to check these out, along with some of my other arty endeavors, as well as a lot of other amazing artists, artisans, designers and more!

A look at some of the Summer 2016 Items

Now that the Etsy store is up and going again, I took the time to put together a little “video lookbook” of some of the summer items.

As always, if you see something you like, but would love it in a different size, or color or what have you, just let me know!

(And here’s a small reminder to my Canadian friends-I cannot ship to Canada until the Canada Post strike is settled. But as soon as it is, I will be back to shipping up there like I always have! )

I know it’s not July 1st yet, but…

I was going a little ahead of schedule and decided to open the Etsy shop a little early.  There are still a couple things I need to add (And I’ll get that done today and tomorrow), but I figured I’d get it open now because it’s been down for about a month.

Neat, yeah?
Neat, yeah?

And of course this means that I am, once again, taking custom orders!

Two things of note, though, first.

First, my dear Canadian friends, until the labour dispute is resolved for the Canada Post, I cannot ship anything to Canada. Anything that it purchased now, will not be sent until this is resolved.

I’d suggest holding off on ordering anything, unless you really don’t mind waiting for it. 🙂

If you purchase something, and your mailing address is Canada, I will contact you immediately and we will go from there. As soon as this is resolved, though, I will go right back to shipping all over Canada. ❤

Second-I am not making video game related items right now. One cease and desist was enough for me, thank you. *grin*  I’m not saying I never will. I’m just saying I need to learn more about how to do it and not infringe on someone’s IP. 🙂 Because I appreciate that most of my fanbase are nerds like me. 😀 ❤

So, in the end-Enjoy the new stuff! Contact me for something custom! I’m glad to be back open!

More previews!

This Friday, the Etsy shop will be opened once again!

I've been working on these
I’ve been working on these

I’ve been working on, instead of making pendants and calling it done, making whole necklaces, complete with handmade clasps and whatnot. I’m using lots of stones and beads that I’ve had for AGES.  This one looks like turqouise but it’s actually a type of dyed marble. It’s really a lovely stone.

CopperGarnetEar1
Of course, Ears!

I don’t have a ton of ears ready at this point (As usual, most of them went to new homes during the faire!), but I do have a few pairs. 🙂

Most of this week will be spent getting all the listings ready, so that on Friday all I have to do is flip the switch, so to speak.  I am very proud and excited about getting the shop back open and I hope ya’ll are too.

Preview of things to come!

The Bramblefae Etsy shop will open back up in a little over a week. *throws confetti* I’m excited because I get to show ya’ll some of the new things I’ve been working on, so between now and then, as I take photos, I thought I’d share some with ya’ll!

Don't mind the henna. :p

Since I was young, I have always loved the look of handpieces.  I’ve made several over the last few months and I want to put this one in the shop because I love it very much.  The ring is adjustable and the bracelet part is open so that it can be a bit adjustable, too.

NewBF3

In keeping with both copper and bracelets, I offer this one too.  It’s a very simple design, and that’s just an opaque glass bead, but I love this one too. So much so that I very nearly didn’t put it up for sale. 🙂

My big goal for the second half of 2016 is to offer a lot of variety. I’m going to introduce some new types of things and try to keep a wide range of sizes. I’ve also decided to focus on adjustable items where I can, to make it easier for folks to find the right piece for them. 🙂

Come back tomorrow for some more new stuff! 🙂

Enchanted Lakes Faire 2016 (And a little of what’s next!)

Now that the faire is over, and I am beginning to unpack and put things away, I can take a minute and make a post. 🙂  As always, I had a great time at the faire.   This was ELF’s first year at 2 weekends, and my first year as their vendor coordinator. Wearing both the coordinator hat and the vendor hat was quite a challenge, but that’s a post for another day, and probably another forum.

Tis a pretty view, yeah?
Tis a pretty view, yeah?

One of my favorite things, always, about ELF is the location. And this year, I had a wonderful view of the lake for both weekends.  I love this park. It’s very much trees and water and I love it. 🙂

So pretty
So pretty

The only drawback this year was the heat. It was SO HOT, holy crap. But, everyone seemed to have a great time, even with the heat. 🙂

Now, though, I’m working to get things ready to open the Etsy shop back up by July 1st!  I’ll be adding quite a few new things, and over the next week and a half, I’ll be previewing some of it, so stay tuned!

Bramblefae and Cyber Monday

Like this!
Like this!

Hi folks!  Here in the states, most of us are getting ready for Thanksgiving, and some of the…more adventurous among us will be trekking into retail establishments on Friday. Not me, though. Yikes. 😀

I will be getting my Etsy shop ready for a sale on Cyber Monday. From midnight (eastern time) on November 30 to midnight (eastern time) on December 1, everything in my Etsy shop will be on sale.  That includes custom things and the new ornaments!

Not an elf bootie.
Not an elf bootie.

Also, for that day ONLY, you can order a jawbone necklace from me. This really will be the last time I offer, folks! So if you know someone who wants one, make sure they order it on Monday November 30th.

I’ll be tweeting about it pretty constantly, so keep an eye on my twitter ( @bramblefae ) for updates!

Thank you folks for everything! You’re all awesome.

I’m Taking Commissions!

You can commission all sorts of stuff!
You can commission all sorts of stuff!

As we all get ready for the holiday season and we begin planning out gifts, I know I always try to look for cool and different things for folks I gift.  Which makes now a pretty good time to remind folks that I am gladly taking commissions.  If you have an idea, feel free to bring it to me.  I use Etsy for commissions and I have a walk through for the process here (and part 2 is here!).

I can do sets, too!
I can do sets, too!

I can do all manner of jewelry pieces, elf ears, ear cuffs-whatever you want, really! And I love commissions that take me outside my comfort zone!

Like this badass crown!

Seriously, folks, don’t be afraid to hit me up on twitter or something to get a commission started! Now’s the perfect time!
