More previews!

This Friday, the Etsy shop will be opened once again!

I've been working on these

I’ve been working on, instead of making pendants and calling it done, making whole necklaces, complete with handmade clasps and whatnot. I’m using lots of stones and beads that I’ve had for AGES.  This one looks like turqouise but it’s actually a type of dyed marble. It’s really a lovely stone.

Of course, Ears!

I don’t have a ton of ears ready at this point (As usual, most of them went to new homes during the faire!), but I do have a few pairs. 🙂

Most of this week will be spent getting all the listings ready, so that on Friday all I have to do is flip the switch, so to speak.  I am very proud and excited about getting the shop back open and I hope ya’ll are too.

Shop Preview pt. 2!

Today’s preview is all about sapphires. 🙂 I’ve had a few tiny yellow and blue sapphire beads for awhile, so I decided it was time to do something with them!

They're bitty and cute!

The beads all have slightly different colors and whatnot, but I think that adds to the charm and individuality of the pieces.

It’s simple and adorable!

I really look forward to seeing what ya’ll think of the new stuff!

Preview of things to come!

The Bramblefae Etsy shop will open back up in a little over a week. *throws confetti* I’m excited because I get to show ya’ll some of the new things I’ve been working on, so between now and then, as I take photos, I thought I’d share some with ya’ll!

Don't mind the henna. :p

Since I was young, I have always loved the look of handpieces.  I’ve made several over the last few months and I want to put this one in the shop because I love it very much.  The ring is adjustable and the bracelet part is open so that it can be a bit adjustable, too.

NewBF3

In keeping with both copper and bracelets, I offer this one too.  It’s a very simple design, and that’s just an opaque glass bead, but I love this one too. So much so that I very nearly didn’t put it up for sale. 🙂

My big goal for the second half of 2016 is to offer a lot of variety. I’m going to introduce some new types of things and try to keep a wide range of sizes. I’ve also decided to focus on adjustable items where I can, to make it easier for folks to find the right piece for them. 🙂

Come back tomorrow for some more new stuff! 🙂

Enchanted Lakes Faire 2016 (And a little of what’s next!)

Now that the faire is over, and I am beginning to unpack and put things away, I can take a minute and make a post. 🙂  As always, I had a great time at the faire.   This was ELF’s first year at 2 weekends, and my first year as their vendor coordinator. Wearing both the coordinator hat and the vendor hat was quite a challenge, but that’s a post for another day, and probably another forum.

Tis a pretty view, yeah?
Tis a pretty view, yeah?

One of my favorite things, always, about ELF is the location. And this year, I had a wonderful view of the lake for both weekends.  I love this park. It’s very much trees and water and I love it. 🙂

So pretty
So pretty

The only drawback this year was the heat. It was SO HOT, holy crap. But, everyone seemed to have a great time, even with the heat. 🙂

Now, though, I’m working to get things ready to open the Etsy shop back up by July 1st!  I’ll be adding quite a few new things, and over the next week and a half, I’ll be previewing some of it, so stay tuned!

Gearing up for Faire season

I have been bad at updates this year, I know. I had a harder time juggling two jobs than I thought I would. But, it’s easier now because this is my sole occupation at the moment. 🙂

I’ve been working on a lot of new stuff, but I haven’t been showing much of it yet, since it’s all going for this year’s Enchanted Lakes Renaissance Faire & Marketplace. This is the first year they’ll be doing two weekends, so I’m both excited and worried that I won’t have enough stuff. 😀 I’ll begin posting more pictures as we get closer.

Not too shabby, yeah?
Not too shabby, yeah?

I was pretty happy with last year’s booth, but I have some changes I plan to make for this year, and I’ll be sure to post about that too, as we get everything sorted.  I’ll tell you, I couldn’t do this at all without the help, encouragement and ideas of my husband, Paul.  That fella is pretty fancy.

So, if you get a chance, come see us either weekend this year (June 11, 12, and 18, 19)! I look forward to seeing folks!

Hi folks!  Here in the states, most of us are getting ready for Thanksgiving, and some of the…more adventurous among us will be trekking into retail establishments on Friday. Not me, though. Yikes. 😀

I will be getting my Etsy shop ready for a sale on Cyber Monday. From midnight (eastern time) on November 30 to midnight (eastern time) on December 1, everything in my Etsy shop will be on sale.  That includes custom things and the new ornaments!

Not an elf bootie.
Not an elf bootie.

Also, for that day ONLY, you can order a jawbone necklace from me. This really will be the last time I offer, folks! So if you know someone who wants one, make sure they order it on Monday November 30th.

I’ll be tweeting about it pretty constantly, so keep an eye on my twitter ( @bramblefae ) for updates!

Thank you folks for everything! You’re all awesome.

Bramblefae Commissions

I’m Taking Commissions!

You can commission all sorts of stuff!
You can commission all sorts of stuff!

As we all get ready for the holiday season and we begin planning out gifts, I know I always try to look for cool and different things for folks I gift.  Which makes now a pretty good time to remind folks that I am gladly taking commissions.  If you have an idea, feel free to bring it to me.  I use Etsy for commissions and I have a walk through for the process here (and part 2 is here!).

I can do sets, too!
I can do sets, too!

I can do all manner of jewelry pieces, elf ears, ear cuffs-whatever you want, really! And I love commissions that take me outside my comfort zone!

Social Media is fun!

Heartring1

Generally speaking, anyway. 🙂

I’m pretty active on different sorts of social media both for Bramblefae Boutique and personally and I figured it would be a good idea to kinda go over all of it in case ya’ll want to see what I’m up to at any given time. 🙂

I have the Bramblefae page on Facebook, but I find that I use it less and less over time because, frankly, I seem to reach more of you folks through other means. Like Twitter!

I tweet about all sorts of stuff from video games and music to personal stuff (Not TOO personal. 🙂 ) and all sorts of Bramblefae stuff!  It is probably my favorite form of social media right now because I can talk to folks on the fly.  I can answer questions and even just chat with folks on twitter.

I love Instagram and sometimes I think I go a little crazy with all the picture taking, but there we are. 😀 This is right now the best place to get Work in Progress pictures, although I am trying a new thing.

That new thing would be Snapchat.  I still don’t know very much about how it works, but I do see that I can use it to show folks the progress of a piece throughout the day, so if anyone wanted to see what I was working on, while I was working on it, basically, they can go check out my story there.  If you have it, my username is (shockingly) bramblefae. Feel free to add me! If you don’t have it, download the app and then add me. 😀

All of that is not even counting Handmade at Amazon and the Etsy shop! Those two will continue to be the best way to actually buy my stuff (And to commission me!)

Of course that doesn’t take away what I do here. This is the best way to keep up with updates, and tutorials and such. (Yeah, I said tutorials. 🙂 ) Thank you all for keeping up with me and what I do in whatever media you choose, and for helping me bring my dreams to life. 🙂 Ya’ll are awesome.

Decorating All The Things!

Christmas ornament! :)
Christmas ornament! 🙂

I like Christmas time.  I like the baking, I like the build up and I like the decorating.  My grandmother made ceramic Christmas ornaments when I was small-she would even let me “help” paint them sometimes. I think everyone in my family has at least one of her ornaments and a lot of my creative work is done with her in mind. She was a very creative woman, and I am thankful that her creative spark was passed down to me.

So, I wanted to try my hand this year at making ornaments for other folks to enjoy, to maybe hand down through their families.  I’ve got one design on Etsy (Which you can get here! and here!) and Handmade at Amazon, they look like this:

"Striped" wire ornaments
“Striped” wire ornaments

I also have another design-One example is at the top of the post and another is below, that will ONLY be available on Handmade at Amazon. Yes, it’s my first “Amazon Exclusive”!

Filigree2

I also have one of a kind single ornaments and sets that I’ll be adding to the shops over the next few weeks, so keep watch for that special ornament, yeah? And if you have an idea for a more personalized ornament, come to me and I’ll see what we can figure out!
