So, I spent the better part of the last year thinking I was going to be done creating things for folks. If I’m honest, I thought I might be done creating things for myself, too. Then I forgot that the site was set to auto renew, so my money-guilt was enough to make me go, ‘Well, I’ve paid for it, I better do something with it.’ (lol!)
One of the things I’ve struggled with, regarding my teeshirt designs and stuff, is that many of these print on demand places don’t care who uses their services. So, I found my designs being sold along with some very hateful designs, racist designs, and more, and I just did not want that.
This just means that, while you can still get a lot of things from my Zazzle store (And I’ll work on adding more), that’s about it, for now.
I’m working on setting up a square store for digital downloads, and more, and I’ll yell more about that as I go.
In the meantime, keep an eye on the Facebook page-I’ve been posting a bit about what’s going on with me, creatively, lately, and I’ll be posting here again, somewhat regularly. 😀
I’m working on a pretty robust line of shirts relating to tabletop gaming. Mostly traditional (D&D style) games, but I’ve got some other things brewing as well.
Here’s a taste of what you can find in the Teespring shop right this moment! (Feel free to click the link on the sidebar to see the whole shop!)
The Dice Giveth & The Dice Taketh Away This is currently the most popular design in the shop. Everyone who’s played tabletop games knows the joy and pain of the roll of the D20. 🙂
I also have a set of player class shirts complete with an appropriate hashtag. 🙂 Right now, I’ve got Bard, Paladin (and Oathbreaker Paladin!), Barbarian, Warlock, Wizard, and Cleric. I’m working on more, for sure!
I love when you folks share all this stuff, and I really want to see folks in the wild with my designs, so tag me on twitter or instagram when you’re wearing one of these!
As always, feel free to follow me on twitter (although I do a fair amount of yelling about video games and music 😀 ), or on Insta. And if you want to support my work on a smaller scale, feel free to buy me a coffee from the Kofi link in the sidebar! You folks are all rad.
Hi folks! A lot has changed since I last posted, yeah? :p
In this time of world wide weirdness, I’ve stepped away from shipping things and I’ve shifted my focus to downloadable and printable things, as well as some print on demand stuff. I’m working on being as widely available to folks as possible.
I’ve talked about this before a bit-my education is in graphic design, and it’s something I’m relatively good at, although my focus, as always, is more on the crafty side. I’ve been making a lot of “scrapbook papers” and stuff made to be used in Cricuts and the like.
So I want to give you folks one post that has all the ways you can buy my stuff or otherwise support my work. 🙂
First and foremost, here’s my Ko-fi page. Ko-fi is cool for a lot of different reasons. Recently, they’ve given us the chance to have a shop, so you can get some random different digital things. Also, it gives the option for folks to just drop a buck or two in my direction if you want to support my work but don’t really do the digital thing. 🙂 It’s also where you’ll find any freebies I toss up. 🙂
Next up is TeeSpring. This is where you can buy shirts and stuff with different designs by me. This rotates fairly frequently, so check often. 🙂 I like TeeSpring because they carry a really wide variety of sizes and colors and things.
Lastly, check out Zazzle. Here’s where you’ll find all my paper designs and stickers and other things. Their papers come in different styles and sizes and the quality is pretty good, so this is the way to go if you want physical copies of my paper designs and stickers and cards and whatnot. I’ll also throw in random odd things (Like masks etc lol) from time to time.
I still have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as Pinterest. All of these links will be available on the sidebar, so now you have plenty of ways to check out what I’m doing. 🙂
Folks, I really appreciate your support, especially now when everything is so weird for all of us, and I look forward to showing you more and more cool things.
This is the time of year that folks most often want to do some reflection, so I’ll take a minute and do that. 🙂
It’s definitely been eventful for the Autumn-Born household. My husband and I have both had surgery this year (We’re both doing great!), I was diagnosed with a chronic illness a little over a year ago, and that’s been its’ own adventure (Again, I’m doing really well! 🙂 ), so, of course, my creative endeavors seem to be most affected.
I have decided that I’m not going to be selling nail polish over the net anymore. It’s been increasingly cost prohibitive for me. :p I will still be carrying it at Sassafras & Sage in Angola, Indiana, though, so if you ever make it this way, you will still be able to get things. 🙂
So, in that vein, I’ll be revamping my Etsy site soon. I’ll be putting up felt stuff, probably after Christmas, though, because Sass & Sage has a couple events coming up.
I’ll also be adding digital, downloadable stuff, like scrapbooking “papers” and things you can use on your Cricut, or whatever. I’ve really missed the graphic design stuff. I’m VERY out of practice, but it’s nice to be getting back in the swing of things.
In an effort to stay ahead of medical bills (Even with insurance, surgeries and hospital stays are EXPENSIVE), I’ve also got a couple other things going.
The first is my TeeSpring storefront! I’ve got different t-shirt designs/stickers/all sorts of things.
Next is my Ko-Fi page. I’ll be adding different digital goodies, some for free, some you’ll be able to see/use with a small payment (Either one time, or monthly, as low as a dollar!). It’ll be social media stuff, Cricut usable stuff, and other digital odds and ends that’ll lean towards the nerdy and the pagan, with smidges of whatever else strikes my fancy. 🙂
I’ll be sure and post here, too, when I update the Etsy shop, and when I add new things to either TeeSpring or Ko-fi.
Thank you folks, so so much, for hanging around no matter what direction my creative shit goes. I am eternally thankful for you folks. ❤
I really enjoy wet felting. I love starting from raw wool roving and ending with whatever I want to create. Today I want to show you folks a pair of wristlets I made. I really love the grey scale/vivid color combo and when I got a bit of a super vivid pink wool in a sample bag I ordered, I knew I had to do something cool and 80’s like with it.
I love the way these turned out. I added little bits of silk thread in places, and I hand-spun some of the pink wool into a little length of yarn to add some texture to them.
I definitely plan to make more wristlets because they’re so fun. Next time, though, I’ll show you one of the little bags I’ve been making!
Back in the fall, I’d started poking around with some fiber art- wet felting, some weaving, that sort of thing. And over the winter as I did my seasonal day job, I did a lot of thinking about where I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m going, creatively speaking.
One of the resounding things is that, while I love making nail polish and I don’t see that changing in any way, I had been missing other creative endeavours. That got me thinking about how I wanted to get back to that. I already had Bramblefae Boutique to use if I wanted.
But, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the Bramblefae identity didn’t really suit me anymore. It didn’t really feel like *me*.
I spent a lot of years trying to be, creatively, a little of everything for everybody and that’s amazing for people who can do it, but I felt I needed to scale things back a bit; to focus more on things I *loved*, rather than things I thought other people would love.
I make mead for fun and for spiritual reasons- about a gallon, twice a year. I, half-jokingly, made labels for it that say, “Autumn-born Meadery”, because my husband and I were both born in October. And I’ve realized that the Autumn-Born moniker fits both me, and what I want to do creatively, a lot better than anything else at this point. 🙂
So, over the next few weeks, I’ll be showing off some of the things I’m doing, and opening up a shop of some sort for the things that aren’t nail polish.
As for BeeFae, nothing at all will change there, and I am excited about some of the new polishes I’ve got in the works. 🙂
You will need to update your bookmarks, I believe, because this will now be autumnbornwhimsies.com. Twitter will still be @BeeFae for polish and @bramblefae for everything else, for now (If I change my @, I’ll be sure and let you all know, of course!).
Thank you all for your willingness to come along on this ride with me and I look very forward to showing you what’s next. 🙂
Hi! How’ve you folks been? It’s been a lot of snow for me over the last day or so, and now it’s super cold. :p Good weather for staying inside.
I wanted to give a quick update post since I’ve kind of solidified a timeline for the next few months. 🙂
February 1st, I’m putting the Etsy shop in vacation mode for a bit. I’ll open it back up March 1st. As I go through current, past, and future colors-to take some out, bring some back, take new photos, etc- I realized that this is a bigger project than I’d thought about. Add in, also, that my day job is going into it’s busiest time of year, and I realized that I need the month of February to get all that done. 🙂
So, feel free to pick up any polishes you’ve been thinking about because they may not be there in March. (I’m not being a shit- I really haven’t finalized the list yet. :p )
In the meantime, though, I will still be tweeting pics of polishes and other things because I am SUPER happy with this new macro lens I bought for my phone (Thanks to a tip from the lovely Dragonsworn Cosmetics! ) so be sure and follow me on twitter!
Thanks, folks, as always, for your support. 2019 is gonna be amazing! ❤
Hi folks, it’s been awhile, yeah? Those of you who follow me on Twitter know I haven’t really gone anywhere- I’ve just been really bad at organized updates over the last few months. :p
Over the first couple months of 2019, I’m going to be updating many of the listings on Etsy. I’m gonna be taking down a few things, bringing back a few colors, updating a couple of formulas, and revamping all the product photos.
I’ve played, over the last year, with adding different cosmetics to the mix (And I did add a small selection of perfume oil), but I feel, at least right now, that I want to bring the focus back in on what I’m best at- fun and quirky nail polishes, and some other nail related stuff (So, before anyone panics-the cuticle balm is not going anywhere. 🙂 ).
On that note, there’ll be 2 new things going into the shop this week. First is my take on Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2019 – Living Coral. I love this color a lot and I’m excited to add it to the shop!
Next up (Or more accurately- Up now!) is a $5 mystery bottle! During the summer months, BeeFae has a display at a local boutique in my town, so I find myself in the winter with the left over stock. I’ll be offering them at half price to you folks so I can make room for new colors! The listing will be active as long as I have extra bottles. So if you like surprises, pick up a couple!
Lastly, I am always very thankful for you folks, and so I am working on ways to show that this year.
Here’s to a great 2019!
Hi folks! After what seems like FOREVER, I have a new line of polishes! Here in Indiana, the winter has just dragged on, so we needed a set of polishes to help bring on Spring. 😀
I started with the idea of a Victorian era garden party and just went from there. 🙂
Each of these polishes are available in the Etsy shop right now, along with 2018’s birthstone polishes- up to April, of course. 🙂
Been a minute, I know. I’ve been busy at work, and waiting for winter to be done in the part of the world I call home. 🙂 Today, though, the sun is shining and the birds are singing and the snow is gone, so here I am with an update. 🙂
I had planned to release the spring line in the middle of March, but then I got to thinking about how I opened the Etsy shop on April 2nd of last year. So, I’ll be releasing the spring line- I’m calling it Garden Party, cuz that’s what the colors make me feel like- on that date. 🙂 In March, aside from the birthstone polish, I’ll be releasing a couple random polishes I’ve been working on, including one that I think I want y’all to name for me. 🙂
I mentioned March’s birthstone polish- Aquamarine is generally considered March’s birthstone so I paid homage to that with this polish, although it’s a bit brighter than the stone generally is.
It’ll be in the Etsy shop on March 1st. 🙂 And throughout the month of March, I’ll be previewing the new line as well as a few other things as we lead up to the 1st anniversary of BeeFae Cosmetics as an actual thing. ❤
